b'ConnectFALL / WINTER2 0 1 5Dear Friends and Supporters,Well, we made it. Thanks to you and your fellow donors across 12 countries, we achieved the $200 million goal of our Promising Ireland Campaign. When we embarked on the Campaign and our original goal of $100 million, we did so out of a determination to support Ireland at a very difficult timebut without any certainty that we would achieve it. We need not have had any doubts. Because of yourextraordinary generosity, we reached the original target 18 months early and then doubled it. You delivered the $500,000 each week that we needed to reach our new goal. Congratulations and deep thanks.Of course, the most important outcome of the Campaign is not the money but the support it hasdelivered. Over 800 outstanding projects have received support through the Campaign. They have helped to maintain Irelands social fabric as the country recovers. At our Worldwide Conference in June, delegates from the 11 chapters discussed the future of theFunds from next year, our 40th Anniversary, through to our Golden Anniversary in 2026. We are utterly committed to growing, professionalizing and increasing our support of Ireland and Irish-related projects. In all of this, we are motivated by the vision that our founders Tony OReilly and Dan Rooney set out for us when we were founded at our first New York Dinner in 1976. As we have celebrated our 40th New York Dinner in May, the necessity and clarity of that mission remains as great as ever. We hope that you will stick with us, maintain the remarkable momentum that you have developed and help us continue to make Ireland better.
