Now in its fourth year, The Ireland Funds Business Plan Competition nurtures creativity and hone entrepreneurial skills amongst recent graduate and postgradu-ate studentsthe early stage entrepreneurs who will play a crucial role in getting the island of Ireland back on its feet. The competition offers a top cash prize of 10,000 and an opportunity to pitch business ideas in front of leadingentrepreneurs, executives and venture capitalists from the US and Ireland. Prior to the Competition, candidates engage in a challenging training bootcamp delivered in May by the Innovation Academy at University College of Dublin, Stillwater Communications and the Ryan Academy. The program promotes an entrepreneurial mindset and innovation focus among existing Irish businesses and start-ups through training, supports and finance.Out of over 100 applicants, 15 teams were selected from NUI Galway, Trinity College Dublin, University College Cork,University College Dublin, Queens University Belfast, University of Ulster, Dublin City University, IT Sligo and Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology to complete the training programme and to pitch at the Business Competition semi-final in Dublin.connect2015 | 36'
