b'SINgAPoRE ARoUND ThE WoRLD 1 2 3 4The Singapore Ireland Fund Supports the Overseas Immersion Programme in Ireland for Singapore students of the Singapore FEBRUARy,2014 Dr. Stanley Quek, Chairman of The Singapore Ireland Fund, (TSIF) accompanied by Irish Ambassador, Mr. Joe hayes and his wife Deirdre, were guests of Prof. Tan Thiam Soon, President of the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) and senior staff of SIT at a Gala lunch to mark the presentation by The Singapore IrelandFund of an endowed, in perpetuity gift towards the establishment of a grant to benefitSIT students, so that they maygain valuable educational experience from an Overseas Immersion Programme in Ireland. The Singaporean recipientstodatearePhysiotherapyandOccupationalTherapyGraduatesofSITsDegreeProgrammewhichisrunin partnership with Trinity College, Dublin. A number of students attended the lunch and gave enthusiastic and positivepresentations on their 6 week sojourn in Dublin where they completed their internships in a number of Dublin hospitals, speaking about how the Overseas Immersion Programme had enriched their learning.
