b'project newsNative Woodland Trust preserves a special piece of IrelandThe Native Woodland Trust and the Irish Peatland Conservation Council have joined forces topurchasethe last piece of the jigsaw which completes the preservation of historic Girley Bog.Situated in Co. Meath, Girley Bog covers over 250 acres and as one of the finest bogs survivingin the East of Ireland, was designated a Natural Heritage Area. Despite this designation, damage continued to occur in limited areas. This purchase, funded in part by The Ireland Funds,also secures the right of way for an official Loop Walk, which has been used informally by localcommunities and visitors for years.Camara shares technology with Dublin schoolsAlmost 300 high quality laptops traveled from Camara USA in San Jose to Dublin. They wereinstalled in 20 Irish schools and youth centres to enhance education for 6,000 young peopleto allow them to develop new digital skills. The Ireland Funds provided a grant to help withthe establishment of Camara USA, where technology is being sourced from.
