1 Dear Friends and Supporters I am delighted to report that 2014 was one of the most successful years in our almost four decade history. Due to your support and that of Donors across the country our gross earnings exceeded 31 millionour second best outcome ever. To put this into context in 2009 the rst year of the Promising Ireland Campaign our total revenue amounted to 12.3 million. This illustrates clearly the effect of the Campaign. At the end of 2014 the total raised by the Campaign was 183 million putting us ahead of schedule to reach our Campaign goal of 200 milliontwice our original target. Of course the real success of The American Ireland Fund is measured on the ground and I am glad to say our grant and program services expenditure last year amounted to 24 million or 2 million a month. This made us one of the largest if not the largest private grant maker across the island of Ireland. In addition to our grant making we ran a series of programs to help support the not for prot sector in Ireland. Most importantly we hosted seminars throughout the country on fundraising which were attended by over 500 organizations. This is all a part of our agenda of promoting philanthropy in Ireland so that our Donors are not just giving to the Irish but with the Irish. In 2014 we began to plan for the post-Campaign phase to invest in this organization for the ten years following our 40th anniversary in 2016. We are planning an ambitious phase of investment and growth and will be rolling the plan out over the next two years. Thank you for making 2014 such a great year and enabling us to fulll our promise to Ireland.
