Lieutenant Governor gavin newsom gave a warm introduction to award-winning journalistmaureen Orth. Guest speaker Maureen Orth is a Special Correspondent for vanity Fair magazine, and founder of themarina Orth Foundation. Her late husband Tim russert, was the Washington bureau chief of nBC news and modera-tor of meet the press. West Coast Director marjorie muldowney welcomed 350 guests, singling out Luncheon ChairsKathleen Dowling mcDonough, mary Driscoll Toboni and Olivia gaynor-Long for their tremendous work on the most successful Luncheon yet. AIF Board Director Bart murphy paid a special tribute to the late poet seamus Heaney witha beautiful rendition of "Digging". Life Trustee maryon Davies Lewis was present along with Senator ellen Corbett,Judge Kathleen Kelly, Vice Consul Kevin Byrne and former Luncheon Chair, meagan Levitan.
