The Ireland Funds is one of the oldest and largest grantmakers on the island of Ireland.

Annually, we support over 300 non-profit organizations, make over a thousand grants, and enable hundreds of students to pursue higher education through our scholarship programs. Working with The Ireland Funds, donors can support the organizations, projects and causes that matter most to them while benefiting from our fifty years of expertise, trusted relationships, and deep knowledge of the nonprofit landscape across the island of Ireland.

A Philanthropic Partner

The Ireland Funds partners with families, foundations, and corporations, to give back to Ireland in a meaningful and impactful way. As Ireland’s largest private source of philanthropic support, our donors have unparallelled access to our:

  • 50 years of grantmaking experience
  • Expertise in due-diligence, project vetting, and impact evaluation
  • In-depth local and national knowledge of Ireland’s nonprofit sector
  • Long-standing relationships with the nonprofit organizations that are improving lives across the island of Ireland every single day

How it Works

Whether your passion is education, scholarship, arts and culture, mental health, peace and reconciliation, sports, environmental conservation, or another cause entirely, we can help connect your generosity with organizations making a real difference.

Our team works closely with our donors to understand their philanthropic interests, goals, and priorities. We can identify high-impact opportunities, introduce donors to organizations aligned with their passions, and help shape giving strategies that achieve meaningful results.

There is no cost or fee for donors or grantees to partner with The Ireland Funds. We conduct in-depth due diligence, work directly with recipient organizations, and manage the grantmaking process from start to finish. This ensures that gifts are distributed effectively and responsibly, and that the organizations we support meet the highest standards of transparency, accountability, governance and reporting.
