connect 2018 • 97 DUBLIN YOUNG LEADERS SOCIETY JAPAN YOUNG LEADERS SOCIETY Dublin Leadership Series with Anne Morrison Japan Young Leaders Leadership Series with Dr. Greg Story MARCH, 2018 Following her very successful talk in the Leadership Series in London, Anne Morrison gave a talk in the series to the Dub- lin Young Leaders. The event was hosted by Irish corporate partner, KPMG in their stun- ning office space in Dublin’s city centre. Anne is currently chair of BAFTA’s International Committee and formerly Chair of BAFTA from 2014 to 2016, the second woman to hold the position in its 70-year history. In her television career, having worked as a producer/director, she held senior management positions for 20 years at the BBC, and as Controller of Docu- mentaries and Contemporary Factual, was responsible for hundreds of hours of factual television including many award-winning pro- grammes. A native of Belfast, she shared her stories of growing up in Northern Ireland, and her experiences working in London as a female executive in BBC. Anne's witty stories offered together with her life lessons, were well-re- ceived by the Dublin Young Leaders. MARCH, 2018 On July 3, The Ireland Funds Japan held their inaugural Young Leaders Leadership Series at Pembroke’s office in the beautifully designed Tri-Seven Roppongi building in Tokyo. Dr. Greg Story, President of Dale Carnegie and number 1 best-selling author (Japan Sales Mastery) on Amazon spoke to a group of 20 professionals on The Future Of Leadership in Japan. Greg spoke about the challenges of leading teams in Japan and the complexities of the shrink- ing domestic market.
