Great Britain – Evening at the British Film Institute 2025

Arts & Culture is one of the four main pillars of The Ireland Funds and on Wednesday 2nd April, we came together with Irish Film Institute to celebrate the best of Irish arts at the iconic British Film Institute (BFI) for a cine-concert screening of The Cohens & Kellys.

Our supporters enjoyed a screening of this 1926 black & white classic and listened to talented musicians, Dermot Dunne & Nick Roth, play an original musical score to the silent film. At the post-screening reception, IFI spoke about the incredible work they do preserving and promoting Ireland’s moving image heritage through the IFI Irish Film Archive and providing opportunities for audiences of all ages and backgrounds to learn and critically engage with film.

A special thanks to Garret & Jane-marie Turley for their generous support for the evening. Thank you to the IFI team, Ross Keane, Nóirín Egan-Byrne & Sunniva O’Flynn for your partnership, the BFI and to the Irish Networks who collaborated with us on this event, London Irish Lawyers Association, Chartered Accountants Ireland London chapter, Women’s Irish Network UK & Net Eire.
